Franchise Training at Apex University

Most of our current Apex franchisees don’t have a background in the youth sports industry. Entering an industry that’s new to you can be overwhelming, but our training program has been designed to make the process of learning our business as seamless as possible. The very first step you take after becoming an official franchise owner is joining us at Apex University!

Apex University covers everything you’ll need to know about the day-to-day operations of an Apex franchise. You’ll receive 31 hours of classroom training and 24 hours of on-the-job training, including five to seven days of onsite, hands-on learning with our team. With the exception of the employee policies module, every subject has a classroom and on-the-job element. You’ll be expected to pass a few assessments to complete the training, but don’t worry — our instructors will have you ready to go when test day arrives.

We’ll be training you on the basics of owning and operating a business — like marketing, sales, operations, and administrative tasks — as well as the finer points of running Apex’s signature school fundraising events. We believe in your skills as a leader, and by learning our processes, you’ll be better able to lead your team and inspire local students.

Apex University training must be completed within 30 days of signing your franchise agreement, but sales and operations franchise training will continue for the first few months of your franchise.

Getting Ready to Launch

Immediately before the launch of your business, you’ll get to spend valuable coaching time with one of our franchise support consultants. While your dedicated consultant is in your territory, they’ll help you get your business up and running quickly by guiding you through the process of signing your first schools. Your consultant will also assist with business development and sales tasks that are key to the successful launch of your franchise. We know that the process of actually getting your business off the ground is different from the training program, and we expect you to need additional advice. This is a great time to ask any questions you might still have about Apex and your role as a franchise owner.

Once You’ve Opened

Throughout the life of your franchise, our commitment to you and your success never wavers. You’ll have access to our support team whenever you need them. We also host an annual convention to roll out each year’s theme and curriculum, as well as refresher courses for members of your leadership team.
